  2. dat boi Says:

    it a type of shark

  3. cole Says:

well it does look to be a pleisiosaur but i’de require a dead specimen to perform an autopsy to say for sure. best bet is a tripod fish and an elephant fish accidently mated and produced this strange mutant of the deep. but it probably did live in the twilight section of the ocean as the palness of the creature seems to be for camoflage i hope this helped heather and yes the reported lock ness monster sightings do lead to the conclusion that if the lock ness monster does exist that it is in fact a pleisiosaur. goodby and good luck in the search to confirm what this strange creature really is again i hope this helped heather.

  12. thesmartone Says:

the one at the bottom is a shark called the long nosed chimera. it live s on the ocean floor and that spike on its back? it packs a very powerful punch. deadly venom. so i suggest if you want to compare nose length with it, pack up your scuba gear.

  13. stacy Says:

the 9th picture looks like a grenadier fish?!

  14. Francis Says:

The photos actually date from mid-2003 and were taken by researchers on the NORFANZ voyage, a joint Australian-New Zealand research expedition conducted in May-June 2003 to explore deep sea habitats and biodiversity in the Tasman Sea.

They have nothing to do with tsunamis.

  21. pooja Says:

ok d second 1 is a gulper eel.

  22. aura Says:

we are talking secret garden under the ocean….how interesting we are not alone on this planet…….

  23. stevor Says:

why would an earthquake kill fish that inhabit the bottom of the ocean? Could it be that SOMETHING ELSE happened down there that caused them to die THEN?
Maybe something else that caused the earthquake also killed the fish? What could that have been?

  24. Menkit Says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if all these are a result of all the genetically modified strains of bacteria we are unleashing on the environment. If so, it’s only going to get worse, especially after the Japanese nuclear disaster …

  25. Connor S Says:

They’re all real, each originally located in the deep and mysterious twilight zone of the ocean, all were washed ashore by water currents during the tsunami. Most likely some are predators of smaller fish that live in the twilight zone.
